Alternative text
Handmade, paper-like textile made from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. This tapa is comprised of what looks to be three pieces; there are two approx. 1 1/2 inch strips adhered to the top and bottom edges of a larger piece. The pattern is fairly symmetrical and uses geometric shapes of black and red on a white base. It appears to be vertically oriented with the wider edge at the top and the edges of the tapa have an uneven curve.
